GYROTONIC® GYROTONIC® Applications for Dancers Workshop 1 and 2

  • Overview

    You do not have to be a dancer to participate, the workshop is for the dancer that resides within all of us. The workshop is extremely beneficial for those instructors that have dancers as GYROTONIC® method clients.  You do however have to be a GYROTONIC® certified instructor to participate.

    This course is credited as a level 1 GYROTONIC® update course for license renewal.

    Adrianna Thompson was here for the 3rd time to conduct both GYROTONIC® Dancers Workshop 1 and Dancers Workshop 2 in 2023.

Specialized Equipment Training Jumping Stretching Board

    This is a 7 day course, it can be given in 7 consecutive days or given as an 8 day format with one break day included.

    This course is credited as a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® method level 1 update course for license renewal.

Please note there is limited time and it is not possible to cover the entire manual in this 3 day course, so please if you have specific requests of sequences that you would like to cover feel free to communicate with me prior to the course. If you completed your original course prior to 2015 please let me know as I will need to order you a new manual and there will be a small additional cost for this manual to be sent from headquarters.

GYROTONIC® Level 1 as a
Musical Journey

    6 days/5 hours per day of instruction, total 30 hours.
    This course consists of level 1 curriculum as well as including  some new  movement sequences specifically choreographed to orchestrated music.

GYROTONIC® Certified Trainer
Update

    Prerequisite – Certified level 1 GYROTONIC® trainer

    This is an update course for the continuing education of level 1 GYROTONIC® certified trainer. An update course must be taken every two years to renew certification as well as  extend the validity of the trademark license agreement for an additional 2 years.

    The course will:

    • Review foundation course exercises in depth and explain applicable applications
    • Introduction of new exercises or changes to exercises in the foundation course material
    • Focus on the individual physical improvement of the certified trainer and/or
    • Focus on the application of basic hands-on and individual application according to the needs of the client.
    • Introduce the creative series not taught in the foundation course 
    • 3 Days 15 hours (5 hours per day)

    Prerequisite: GYROTONIC® certified level 1 trainer.

    This course will be taught on the GYROTONER™ and on the Ultima XS, it is a good opportunity to learn how to utilize your Ultima XS as a GYROTONER™.

    This course is limited to 6-8 participants per course, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

GYROTONIC® Pre-Trainer Update

    Prerequisite - Authorized Pre-trainer
    This update is required every year as part of the mandatory continuing education of the Pre Trainer in accordance with the Pre Trainer contract between Pre Trainer and GYROTONIC® Headquarters.

    This course consists of:

    • Update on possible new exercises in the pretraining exercise list as well as the foundation course exercise list.
    • Physical refinement for the pretrainer and  hands on/cueing refinement for the pretrainer
    • Update on administrative procedures
    • Update with reference to  master trainer meeting topics of the same year, including discussion of the nature of GYROTONIC® exercises.
